Why is not the Ubuntu One name not in sync with what is shown on Launchpad?

Logging in was originally handled solely by Launchpad. A few years later it was split out into a separate service which is what you now see as "Ubuntu One", but there are some vestiges of the split that make things a bit awkward, like a few pieces of personal data that aren't synced back and forward as neatly as one might like. It would be reasonable to file a bug about that if there isn't one already, although it's possible at this point that some users deliberately have different display names on different services; we'd need to look into that in some detail.

Is changing this in both places a major problem for the time being?
