request ownership change of neovim

Asked by HurricaneHernandez

https://launchpad.net/~neovim seems to be own by a squatter. I and the neovim team are hoping that perhaps you could release it's ownership to the neovim-ppa. (James McCoy - https://launchpad.net/~jamessan)

The team is about to release a snap, but would really love to release under neovim.

We can't rename teams that have an existing PPA, so it would require that team owner to delete their PPA first. Stepping in with administrative powers is perhaps possible but we'd only do that if it were actually abusive, which it doesn't seem to be.

Have you contacted the administrator of that team to see if they could add members of the neovim team? That seems like it could be a useful and amicable solution here ...

Regarding snaps, unfortunately it isn't generally possible at the moment to release snaps using a team as the publisher, so you'll probably need different names for the PPA and the snap anyway.

(Although hmm, I see that the PPA is empty. That does change things a bit, but I'd still want to hear what efforts you've made to contact the existing team admin.)
