Same package name but are different packages

Asked by Sriteja Sugoor on 2019-07-06

I have a package named moodle but there is also another package named moodle in other repositories, due to this I am not able to install my package by `sudo apt-get install moodle` because it is referring to the package in the other repository.

So to make available my package for other ubuntu users what should I do? Should I rename my package?
If so, can you please provide some info on how to rename my package.

Thanks in advance.

The page https://moodle.com/trademarks/ clearly explains that the word "Moodle" is trademarked in many countries around the world, and usage in the name of software is restricted.

If your package is not containing the original moodle software, then you have to use a different name.

Can you help with this problem?
