Please increase ppa size for aff3ct

Asked by Mathieu Léonardon

Hi.

We are planning to deploy aff3ct software (http://aff3ct.github.io/) automatically with CI.
Each deployment pushes approx. 100MB. (50 / xenial, 50 / bionic)
We have approx 15 deployments / month (https://gitlab.com/aff3ct/aff3ct/pipelines).

Would it be possible to have the equivalent of one year : ~18GB ?

Thanks.
The aff3ct team.

Launchpad PPAs aren't intended for archiving old versions of software. Unless you do some weird things with your packaging, versions that have been superseded by newer ones will cease to affect your quota after a few hours, and will be garbage-collected after a week or so. If you need archiving of older versions, it's normally best to arrange for this somewhere else.

Given this, it sounds to me as though the default quota will be more than sufficient, since it's unlikely that more than a couple of 100MB chunks will be live at any one time; but let us know if I've miscalculated.

I did not realized that superseded packages were deleted, because of the garbage collector delay.
We indeed don't need more space.

Thanks.
