I am new, and did not find this issue previously discussed. Pardon me, if I missed some discussion regarding this feature request when logging in via Launchpad in https://askubuntu.com.

I suggest adding a notice, that currently Launchpad authentication is only enabled on https://askubuntu.com and no other stackexchange site, which, adds a step in order to login to SE sites, as authentification can only be enabled by passing by https://askubuntu.com.

It really is of minute importance, but, details matter.

Great work, on the service, though. I use ubuntu products extensively, and passionately.

Requests to change Launchpad's code should really be filed as bugs, not questions; questions expire after a period of time and aren't really suitable for feature requests.

For what it's worth, while I see the utility, I think this would be pretty hard; it would have to be hacked in as a very special case in a rather weird place. Perhaps it would be better to ask the SE folks to add this as a note on AskUbuntu at the point where you're selecting Launchpad auth, since they already have a special case there anyway?

Good idea.

The juice is not worth the squeeze from I am hearing.

Okay thank you. I was not aware of that. I am still new around here.

Can we just close the issue. I will open a question on meta.stackexchange.com to discuss this concern of mine.
