Can not reactivate team mailing list

Asked by Alexey Balmashnov on 2009-04-20

A while ago Russian Ubuntu Users (lp:ubuntu-ru-users) team mailing list was requested and setup. After that almost immediately this list was deactivated (we wanted to check and consider other options for communication). Today, the 20th of April around 05:30 UTC I tried to reactivate this list and since then I see in
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-ru-users/+mailinglist the message: This team's mailing list will be available within a few minutes.

Please, fix this problem.

After further investigation, I strongly suspect that this is related to bug 364628. With LOSA assistance, we toggled the mailing list's status back to INACTIVE, then I went to its +mailinglist page and reactivated it. Its status is now confirmed as ACTIVE, but I can see 401 errors on the XMLRPC client side. No corresponding errors are visible on the server side so I really have no idea (atm) what's going on.

Can you tell me a little about the history of this team? Was it renamed at one point? Did it have an active mailing list at one point?

Not much of a history as I already explained earlier.

The mailing list was arranged by LP admins. People started to sign for it, but if I remember correctly, there was no even a single message sent to it before it was deactivated via +mailinglist page, so my guess would be that it was not really active. Team was never renamed.

Indeed, this is caused by bug 364628. A branch to fix this issue is being committed.

The fix for this bug has landed and your mailing list has been activated.

Tried to do, what I did earlier to break it: deactivate/activate.

Looks like it works now. Thanks.
