Link to Git repos should appear even if the user doesn't have any

Asked by Brian Henning

When one goes to one's profile and selects "Code", by default the Bazaar repos are shown. There is helpful text at the top of the page instructing how to commit to a new Bazaar project.

If one has any Git repos, a link appears that says "View Git repositories". Upon clicking that link, one's Git repos are shown, along with helpful text instructing how to commit to a new private Git project.

However, if one has no Git repos, that link does not appear, breaking the path to the helpful text about committing to a new private Git project (which, as far as I can tell, does not appear anywhere in Launchpad's official documentation regarding Git).

The key of my concern is that helpful text being accessible before any personal Git repos exist. If I delete all my Git repos, and then forget how to make a new one, I need a way to get back to those instructions.

Since an empty Bazaar repo list is apparently an acceptable thing to display (and I agree that it is), an empty Git repo list should be equally acceptable, and the "View Git repositories" link should always be available.

Sorry for the delay.

I agree that we should improve the first-time workflow here. However, we only use the Answers page for support requests and not for feature requests (not least because they expire after a relatively short period of time, as happened here). Could you please use the "Create bug report" facility on https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/679200 to convert this into a bug report?

Can you help with this problem?
