thunderbird print stored emails only about:blank

Dear sir/madam,

I do not know if I can ask my question here or at the Mozilla foundation. To be honest I hope someone can help me out:

When I want to print a stored email, I get a blank page with on the top the text: about:blank

This is only with the saved emails. When I print an email direct out of the e.g. inbox no problem. I run Ubuntu 16.04 with the Thunderbird.
