Open Source license review criteria?

Asked by Mark Lee

Apparently the Awn Extras project <https://launchpad.net/awn-extras> has been marked as proprietary, and I am unsure why. We are an open source project using the following DFSG-compliant licenses: GPL-2(+), LGPL-2.1(+), and CC-3.0-BY-SA. We have removed code with unclear copyright assignment months ago, and recently removed bundled code which is licensed under the Apache License 2.0 (although that is considered DFSG-compliant).

Hi Mark,

It seems you're right, that license is indeed compliant to Launchpad. What exactly you mean by "Unported" when referring to the CC-BY-SA license?

Thanks for pointing that,

Ursula

It refers to the following license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/

...which, AIUI, does not have country-specific legal language. See also:

Is the issue solved now (as I believe it is)?

Nope, Awn Extras is still marked as proprietary.

Your licensing has been approved and the project is no longer marked as proprietary.
