A new OAuth token consumer was enabled in Launchpad

Asked by rtimai

It seems this is a common posting in response to an alert generated by enabling a new device for a Launchpad account. Yes, I was prompted to authorize a new laptop since initially creating my Launchpad account. The alert, however, didn't include enough information to understand what "new OAuth token consumer" meant.

The alert might be better worded,

"Did you recently log in to Launchpad with a new device? If you did not make this change, please open a new Question on Launchpad <https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+addquestion> or visit #launchpad in IRC at freenode to alert staff of the issue. Otherwise, you may simply ignore this alert."
