Meson version

Hey everyone.
I've moved to use Meson as a package manager. But sadly, the latest available version while the building is 0.34. Is there a way to select a newer version? I would like to use 0.40.0 or newer. And i don't really want to maintain two versions just to be able to provide a PPA for the users
