Shutter PPA will not authenticate in Intrepid

Asked by RandyBrinson

I copied this public key (no extra spaces) and put in in a new file named shutter.key on my desktop.

When I import the key file on the Software Sources Authentication tab, it apparently works OK. On that entry, I see "009ED615 2009-01-20" However, when I go into Synaptic and Reload, I get this error:

W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net intrepid Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 60D11217247D1CFF

I've tried and retried the various steps for a couple hours now...to no avail. BTW, I was able to get Shutter downloaded and installed, but I sure wish I could use Launchpad successfully. Any idea what I'm missing?

I am using Intrepid (8.10) 32-bit.

`apt` is complaining because you haven't enabled the 'openoffice-pkgs' signing key, not shutter's one.

Apt error messages are very unfair for PPAs, they should mention the whole repo URL (at least).

By golly you're right, Celso. I imported the OpenOffice key and now there are no errors. Life is good. Thank you for solving my problem!
