Launchpad sent too many request for SVN import

I had a put a svn import request for the spicebird project at https://edge.launchpad.net/spicebird/trunk . Today we had our VPS suspended because of an enormous amount of requests from IPs 91.189.90.137 (62000) in total. I am currently unregistering all the branches. Could some one look into this and find out why this happened and if possible suspend all import requests from galapagos.canonical.com

Unfortunately the import software we uses makes a very large amount of requests, but each request is very small. Soon we'll be moving over to bzr-svn, which will make a smaller number of larger requests.

Can you help with this problem?
