the bug i reported is called a duplicate of a bug who's report i can not access!!

Asked by dave aibel

I reported bug #1685926 and received an e-mail that this is a duplicate of bug # 1575621 . Since this is a major pain in the ass bug for a fundamental program of this so-called LTS release, I would like to see any suggested work-arounds. However, when I tried to access, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575621, the website could not find any reference to 1575621 . I received the following very useful error message: ID OOPS-55134c0e7ffb0957f34c3f205aeff628 .

Not very happy with this, but, would like to see things improve....

Hi, I have made bug 1575621 public now. By default, crash reports are not public because they may contain private information.

The GNOME3 PPAs have reached End of Life for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. See the notice at
https://launchpad.net/~gnome3-team/+archive/ubuntu/gnome3-staging/

Please ppa-purge those PPAs and then either stay with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or upgrade to Ubuntu 17.04. Note that 17.04 is not an LTS release so you will need to upgrade to 17.10 later this year and 18.04 LTS next year to be on the next supported LTS release.
