I have made attempts to contact this user and despite a renewed effort on the 27th (as you suggested) no resolution has been possible. No reply has been received from Johan.

Is there anything else that you can do?

that sounds fair enough to me.
Have renamed the existing ~jhg to ~jhg-old, and your account to ~jhg.
