Can it be added translation template for simple-ccsm and firestarter?

Asked by Krasimir Chonov

I was translating the Help system of Ubuntu and installed some of the packages listed there. I notices that there is no translation template for some of it. They are tree for now. The packages firestarter, simple-ccsm and ccsm. Is it possible to add translation templates?

The packages you mention are not in the "main" component but in the "universe" component. Only packages from "main" are imported into Ubuntu on Launchpad to be used in languagepack generation. And even for the main packages the translations done in Launchpad are only adaption, where necessary, to the original translation done by the upstream project.

The other programs must ship their translations with them. They can still use Launchpad for translations, though, not as a package in Ubuntu but as their own project. For example, firestarter is found here: https://launchpad.net/firestarter It is not using Launchpad for anything at the moment but if the project owners agree, they or you can upload the translations to Launchpad and work from there. Please see the Help pages for more information: https://help.launchpad.net/Translations
