Could you please create a project group for Percona innodb related projects?

Asked by Evgeniy Stepchenko

Because we have one team for all our InnoDB projects we would like to be able managing bugs and BP's in one place.

The desired project group name is "Percona InnoDB projects".

The projects to be included in the group are "Percona patches" and "Percona XtraDB":
https://launchpad.net/percona-patches
https://launchpad.net/percona-xtradb

Thanks.

Hmmm. This is an interesting case; I would have thought that the right way to model percona-patches would be as a set of branches on the MySQL projects they modify. But I understand your motivation for wanting to group these together and allow tracking bugs and blueprints for them.

One quick question: do your branches have complete history (and mergeability) with the MySQL branches? It doesn't seem like they do from the revision counts. Does that not bother you?

Hello Christian,

We do not modify MySQL projects. With percona-patches project we issue set of patches for InnoDB for high performance application. Based on the patch set we preparing several binaries for different applications, but anyone could download and apply separate patch.
XtraDB is our own storage engine for MySQL based on the InnoDB plugin.

So our branches doesn't correlate with MySQL branches.

Thank you Christian!

I hope we'll need another group for Percona tools soon :)
