Teams mailing lists and security contacts

Asked by Andrea Corbellini

Create a team, activate its maling list and set the ML as contact address for the team. Then set the team as a security contact for a project. Will notifications about security bugs be sent to the (public) mailing list?

If yes, how can I give the rights to the team to triage security bugs without receiving notifications?

Thanks in advance!

This requires a private mailing list. Right now you can't create those automatically, but keep an eye on bug 259159. Admins, can you take care of this?

You need to set the team to be the security contact fro the project, and then the mailing list will get the security email.

Thanks for the quick respose.
Unfortunately I don't want security notifications to be publicy available on the mailing list. How can I avoid this?

We don't support private mailing list archive for public team. Bug 259159 is about automatically supporting private mailing list archive, but that's for team that are "private". So it won't help here.

I've filed a bug for this feature.
