Asked by Savvas Radevic

A user has spammed a bug report with a comment:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libgnomeui/+bug/187183/comments/32

There should be a "Report abuse" link about such stuff, would be easier to report and remove.

Hey, how lucky to find this on google...
I did not do it. And I dont understand either, how did anyone get my launchpad ID and pass? It shouldnt be possible since the last time I used launchpad was like over 6 months ago and had completely forgotten about the account till I got the subscribed thread update....
My gmail account uses a different pass from the launchpad one but even contacts from my gmail address book seem to have received the same mail.
I wouldnt rule out a Virus or such since im on a windows box right now, but even in that case what intrigues me is how the comment was posted on launchpad as its been ages since I used it (also was on a linux box then).

Also thanks for not banning my account or any such thing before I could understand whats going on.

Thats barely a solution, I dual boot....
Also I do not need advice to when to activate or deactivate my account and that if I did not want one I wouldnt try to find a solution, I just wouldnt give a damn about the spam, it doesnt really matter to me if I dont need the account does it???

Dont be an oversmart idiot, if you cant be helpful then shut up.

Thank you for your very kind reply. The next you wish to reply, may I remind you the ubuntu code of conduct: http://www.ubuntu.com/community/conduct

And I quote: "the last time I used launchpad was like over 6 months ago and had completely forgotten about the account till I got the subscribed thread update...."
I thought you weren't using your account anymore, it's logical to think you wanted to deactivate it.

Anyway, if you have a question of your own, make a new question, this question was just to report the spam incident and has been answered.

And I quote again "it doesnt really matter to me if I dont need the account does it"

"the last time I used launchpad was like over 6 months ago and had completely forgotten about the account till I got the subscribed thread update"
And thats because I never face bugs anymore, it doesnt really say I dont need it, then the question would be how do I deactivate my account. Also that point makes it clear that my password leaking would be an impossible scenario...

I guess you presume a lot.

This question is directly pointing a finger at me for spamming, one would think its logical to be curious about such things....

Hi thyultimate. You do not need to deactivate your account to address the high jacking of your identity. I suggest you use add another email address, and remove the old one.
