How to struggle against flood?

There is a flood message:

The message contains advertisement for e-shop site.
How to struggle against such a flood? Why there is no mechanisms for edit/remove comments from users?

Spam is a pain for everyone. We are taking steps to address this. I believe there will be a feature added for admins and launchpad developers to hide spam message. The issues about users deleting and editing messages has proved to be very difficult to reconcile. Making it easy for at at least a core group of people will at least allow us to address these issue quickly.
