Not allowed to view bug report #293581

Asked by Xavier Robin

Hello,

I submitted a bug report (#309941). Today I got an email showing the report was a duplicate of #293581. When I try to view that report, I get a "Not allowed here" error.
I see it is similar to https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/48630 and that the answer consists in contacting the owner of the bug, but as I'm forbidden, I can't even see who's the owner...

Can you please contact him or her?

Thanks,
Xavier

Ouch. Knowing a bot change the status does not help one bit. I see that the ubiquity package is associated with the ubuntu-installer team (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-installer). I believe you can contact the team and ask if they have permission to subscribe you to the bug.

I've removed the private flag from that bug (set by default for crash reports, rather unnecessarily in the case of the installer as private data is very rarely involved); I've also unset the duplicate status as the bot was wrong in this case.

I have a similar issue with being denied access to a duplicate after filing a bug report. How can we see the duplicate?
