Please set the license for the 'eject' project.

The "eject" project (https://launchpad.net/eject) does not have a license specified. eject.c and volname.c are released under GPL 2 or any later version; it uses dmcrypt-get-device (written by Martin Pitt), which only specifies that it's released under "the GPL", and is copyright 2005.

I'd like to import the translation data into Launchpad, but I can't do that until the project has a license set for it.

I agree that the source code and the author both state that this project is GPL. I will assign this to a member of the registry admins, who have the power to fix the license.

I see that the project have a valid license (GPL2). What problem are you seeing?

Never mind. I see. A member or the Registry Administrators needs to enable translations. Adam, do you want to maintain this project in Launchpad--Do translations and track upstream changes? The project can be transfered to you.

Sure. I assume that if a day comes when I no longer can or want to maintain it, I can give it back to the Registry Administrators, yes?

Is there a good overview of what my responsibilities would be--do I make sure that the Launchpad translation database is kept in sync with the Debian one, and pass new and updated .po files upstream to them? Is there anything else I need to do as translation maintainer?

you'll find documentation here:

You seem to already have a good picture of what needs to be done. Please keep in mind that if the upstream project has its own translation efforts, no extra translations should be done in Launchpad. It is a good idea to contact the upstream maintainer and let him/her know about what you are doing and how to best integrate with the project.
