GSynaptics: No up-to-date templates available

Asked by Rüdiger Arp

Howdy,

Today I checked out GSynaptics via SVN from the project's Sourceforge site in order to get a .pot template. As there was no template, I used the Spanish .po file to translate the GUI into German. All went well save the fact that the last of the four Settings tabs ("Acceleration") is not being offered for translation in the provided .po files.

I did create my own template using
xgettext -f po/POTFILES.in -o po/template.pot

That worked very well, the new translation compiled just fine and the GUI is now completely translated.
But what about future translations and other languages that still use the obsolete .po files? GSynaptics' SVN repo was updated last 10 months ago, how to get a valid .pot file in the future?

Cheers

I think you should contact the upstrem GSynaptics developers and let them know about this problem.

At these page you should see the developers lists:
https://sourceforge.jp/projects/gsynaptics/

GSynaptic is an Ubuntu package but it is not managed by Launchpad Translations.
Only packaged from the "main" repository are managed by Launchpad Translations.
