Need approval of project

Asked by Zach

I am proposing a project to create packages to turn Ubuntu into the latest version of Windows(R). This project would, presumably, make live/install CDs of said clones. These clones would, of course, necessarily contain images of the Windows(R) operating system to be cloned. (more information here: https://launchpad.net/~zrs-12) Would this project meet the license agreement and copyright laws such that this project could be carried out? TIA

This project is intended to provide the functionality of Ubuntu with the appearance of Windows.

I'm not certain I understand this question, if this is a question. You may create projects on Launchpad without permission, so long as to complies https://help.launchpad.net/Legal/ProjectLicensing.

I have looked at the windows+ubuntu project. I am concerned about the mention of copyrighted/proprietary art. You can host your project on Launchpad so long as the non-free art (or code) is not hosted on launchpad.

Can you help with this problem?
