Hi there Ray.

Unfortunately PPAs only support Ubuntu right now. This is a good question though and we will look at adding Debian support in the future.

Best regards.

Hello,

Debian-Devel has a thread about creating a Debian PPA these days. Everyone likes what launchpad has achieved. The Debian PPA most likely will evolve sooner or later, with or without any code sharing with Ubuntu, but it would certainly help keeping the community together more, if the Ubuntu PPA offers builds also for Debian stable and testing.

No, I cannot promise that a future Debian PPA would also do packages for Ubuntu, I can only say that I want my packages to be used and that I would then use the Ubuntu one. And I won't be alone with that stance.
