OpenOffice: How can I check the Openoffice translation?

Hi!
I'm translating OpenOffice.org in Launchpad:
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/+sources/openoffice.org/+translate

I have 2 questions:
I like start translating the main menus. Which is the template for "Writer"?

Once done the translation in Launchpad, how can I see the results...
is enough use the file .mo?

Hi Marcos,
thank you for you interest in helping to translate open source software. OpenOffice is not translated in Launchpad, though. The page you refer to is only used for special adaption work for Ubuntu.

For the second part: You can download translations as ".po" files and convert them locally to ".mo" to use with your application.

hmm...

...my knowledges about OpenOffice is not as big as yours (I'm not a programmer). Are you sure that ".mo" are valid for testing OpenOffice?

In this case, in which directory may I have to put the files?

I've tried it and it doesn't work. (unless they are in the wrong directory)

Can you help with this problem?
