Jeroen, have you discovered which of the MU projects is the one to use here?

There seem to be two Wordpress MU projects in Launchpad. :-( We'll have to change that; every project should be registered in Launchpad at most once.

One thing we need to know before we can approve the uploads: what is your relationship to the authors of Wordpress MU? Are you coordinating the use of Launchpad Translations with them?

I don't know much about Wordpress MU or its relationship to Wordpress, but it may be worth talking to Nikolay Bachiyski first. He runs the Launchpad translations for Wordpress.

I have been looking for a place to start translating wordpress-mu in romanian and found a spot on https://translations.launchpad.net/wordpress/mu - but it seems unused, and also the place where i uploaded the template file. I spoke to both project owners and only ktlee answered. I do not think there is any redundancy in launchpad, as there is no available translation yet. I am not affiliated to the developers of wordpress mu, but only a user trying to make public a small translation contribution.

My apologies for the long response time. The link you give is to the official WordPress project on Launchpad, where MU is registered as a release series. I've contacted Nikolay to sort out whether this is the right setup, but otherwise, that would be the right project to translate WordPress in. It's also Nikolay who normally uploads the WordPress templates.

It's very important that translation setup be coordinated with the upstream authors, because otherwise we can get situations where other users contribute to translations in other languages which are never used by upstream.

In the case of WordPress, Nikolay coordinates translations such that Launchpad is one of the translation tools that a translation team can choose. So the first thing you do there is look for an existing translation team for your language, and if there is one, join them. If there isn't, you contact Nikolay about setting one up, and in that case it's up to you to choose to do the translation in Launchpad or elsewhere.

Can you help with this problem?
