Request for devirtualization on kubuntu-ninjas

Asked by Michael Casadevall

kubuntu-ninjas is a team with a private PPA used to package KDE tarballs about a week before they are formally released. Because KDE on ports historically has had some issues (usually requiring a reupload of every single package to get building on all architectures), and due to the importance of having it build on ARM to greatly help that ports progress, I'd like to ask that our P3A be devirtualized, at least temporarily, to ease porting issues.

I'm told I need an ACK from three teams, distro, information services, and soyuz. As it stands, I have previously talked to distro and soyuz, and neither indicated a problem (I will ask for them to comment here). As for IS, I'm hoping with only eight people with access to the P3A, it shouldn't be an issue, and if necessary, we could spin off a seperate PPA if we need to further limit access to members of ubuntu-dev.

Hi Michael

Unfortuntely the message from IS is that this is not going to happen I'm afraid. There's a vague suggestion that it might happen if the PPA is limited to Canonical people only though.

Can you help with this problem?
