use known translation in other translation items

I translate project to Russian and I run into a problem: someone asks me to translate a statement, which contains a label of button which had been translated yet (not by me). It's a problem, because I can translate a title of this button in other words and a user who reads it would be mix up.
If you could provide (and warn of authors of projects as well) special translation items for projects (title of tabs, button, etc) and translators could use it just like link to known translation it would be very useful and comfortable for everyone I think.
Could you provide a feature like this ?

Launchpad provides this feature through standard gettext features like context (msgctxt) and translator comments. It's up to software developers to make use of it.

Please file bugs against the software you found that require you to separate a single term into two (or more).
