Please create project group ubuntu-us-pa

Asked by Alex Launi

Since it's not well documented on the project page, I made a project with the intent of it being a project group, I would like this project removed, and then made as a project group. It is going to be the home for a bunch of projects that our LoCo does. Thank you.

What projects would fall under that project group? If you can tell me a URL and the names of a few subprojects -- but not register them yet -- I'll mutate your existing project to one of those.

Launchpad urls or some external url? ntr-imaging is one, associated with the ntr-imagers team we set up, there is a "girls inc." project, and there has been talk of writing an interactive welcome splash which would be a new project.

Last question. Why do you want to group these using a project group and not just a team as owner of these projects?

Easier organization, we hope to direct non-technical people to them, and it would be very nice if the project group page had a list of projects underneath the umbrella so that prospective contributors could see what else they can help with. Administrators for non-profit groups are rarely technical, and are always extraordinarily busy. Having a project group would make it easier for us to show them what else we're working on, saving them time, and increasing the likelihood that they will want to work with our organization and adopt FOSS inside of theirs.

Hmm. I still am not quite sure what you expect to get here that you wouldn't get in a team's related project listing. Project groups are generally organizational but still thematic -- for instance, we don't have a Canonical project group, or an Async project group, but instead teams. We do have a Launchpad project group, as does GNOME and Mozilla.

Ok, I will just do this with a team.
