how long does it take to review a new ~vcs-imports branch ?

I submitted a new branch 10 days ago and got a strange e-mail response (Your message was rejected), but the state of the branch is still "pending review" ...

We are currently backlogged. The oldest unreviewed request is from Oct 13. I will see about increasing the priority of vcs-import reviews. Sorry for the delay.

out of interest, what does the vcs-import review process involve?

Is it a check for duplicates, a check of compatible open source licence or something else?

We check dupes, and we also check to see if the source tree is organized as we expect it to. We do licensing checks on the project registration itself.

There's something weird going on with the notification emails. Let me bother Tim about that.
