Translation of Launchpad itself

No, right now Launchpad is not itself being translated.

When is it starting?

I mean, I think the interface of a project about translations should be translated itself - there are people who can speak fluidly many languages, not being English one of them.

Yeah, being able to have launchpad in one's own language would be nice. Now that Launchpad has been completely open-sourced, maybe enabling Launchpad for translation would be possible...

I hope it will be soon.
Even translators sometimes feel unfamiliar if the interface doesn't support their mother languages.

Any news about if/when Launchpad will be made translatable?

We had a discussion of this but this can't be done until we have
real-time translation scripts.

Did someone create a bug report on the issue? Seems pretty critical to me

Thierry, the associated bug is #3896. You can mark yourself as affected. You can also read the blueprint about "Internationalization for Launchpad" [1]
