Any way to delete a comment posted for wrong bug?

Asked by swoody

I accidentally posted a comment on the wrong bug, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the bug. Is there any way to have it removed as to prevent any confusion?

It's not possible to remove comments because they form the history of the bug, and in general we don't meddle with that. However, it would be useful to be able to mark comments as irrelevant. The Bugs team have given this some thought - along with other classifications, like spam - but there's nothing there just yet.

For what it's worth, I think your retraction in the next comment is plenty, and is the best way currently to deal with small mistakes like this.
