The widelands project want's to move to launchpad with their media repository. The repository is (without history) 1 Gigabyte large. Is there a disk quota for users or for groups or for special branches?

There is no limit at this stage.

What type of media does the repository store?

In order to get the best use out of Launchpad's new stacked branches and revision sharing, you'd need to create a new project and have the trunk media branch set as the development focus.

I can imagine that it will take some time for the first branch to push.

Good to know. We store blender files and gimp graphics. What are stacked branches and revision sharing? I have not found information about that.
