I posted bug# 276599 on Oct. 1st. I have not seen a response as of Oct 9th. What is the typical response time?

James a Bug report, is public report, they not have a time of response. You accomplish with report that to development team a error, but usually they need more info and many similar reports.

Hello JacobS,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I have a better understanding of the process from your note. By the way, I did find a work around which I posted for others who might initially have no sound using the Intel ICH6 sound chip.
