how to do bug dependency in bug reports?

Asked by Andriy Tymchenko

Hi,

I have an issue which I know how to solve in Bugzilla by simple making bug X being blocked by bug Y.

I mean, I have done bug report some time ago at bugs.launchpad.net, and now developer asked me to verify whether it had been fixed or not. And when I tried to verify -- I found another problem in different area, which prevents me from verifying original issue. In Bugzilla I would just mark original bug as blocked (depended on) new bug. How to do that in Launchpad is still mistery to me, despite looking into FAQ, help and some side searches with Google. Does it exist at all?

I've created a bug about this. I could have sworn we had something in the system for this as a bug or a blueprint but cannot find it. I've created a bug for this: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/malone/+bug/276403

well, formally you have it solved - thank you for your effort.

But I can't resist to note that MPT (in aforementioned original *root* bug) needs some *real life adjustment* - few people asked for feature but then he comes, scratches his head and says "I thought and decided NO". If Ubuntu policies has anything against such an attitude, you might find some problem in longer term. My EUR 0.02 anyway.

Thanks again.
