Please remove inactive members

Asked by Nizar Kerkeni

Hello,
After our team approval we decided to have a new structure four our launchpad teams. So the ubuntu-tn team ( https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-tn ) will be reserved to the management committee and the ubuntu-tn-users ( https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-tn-users ) will be open for all Tunisians.
So we would like to remove all inactive members in ubuntu-tn team ( https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-tn ) as most of them are now on the other team.
Thanks in advance.

Barry, can you get the ~ubuntu-tn team renamed and removed for us? It has a mailing list attached to it, which means I can't directly.

"Inactive members" actually means they are removed -- that's just the way we track history (so you can see who has been a user in the past). So you don't need to worry about that.

Cool logo, by the way!

Thanks Christian,
It's because I would to track the correct history that I asked for this. In fact the ubuntu-tn team status was changed from open team to supervised team reserved for management committee. So actually all inactive members in ubuntu-tn wasn't members of the management committee. And we will keep track of them in ubuntu-tn-users team.

But the correct history is that those people were originally members of that team. You should have renamed the existing team to -users and created a new one if you wanted a fresh start.

Perhaps !! but now it's too late :)

Indeed, it is. I suggest you create a new team and put the actual members you want to be present in them; I'll take care of removing the previous team; it's a bit of work on your end but there is currently no infrastructure to remove team members and I think it's a bit risky to hack it in this case.

hmm..., if I understand
1) I create a new team
2) you remove the old one
3) I rename the new team with the old name
is it correct ?
in that case I will discuss this issue with management committee members.

Hello Christian,
I got the green light from the team to proceed to the clean-up
The new temporary team is here : https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-tn-tmp
So you can delete the old one : https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-tn
After that I will rename the new one to have the correct name.
Thx

I've purged the mailing list, so you should be able to rename the team now.

the old team is actually renamed to ubuntu-tn-old (https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-tn-old) and can be removed
