No longer offered chance to link to upstream bug report

Asked by Michael Terry

I know that to link to an upstream bug report, you click "Also affects project" and you are given the opportunity to either add an upstream link or choose an affected package in LP.

But I first chose an affected package in LP, then went back to add an upstream link, and I no longer am prompted for it, only other LP projects. I just get the "Record as affecting another project" with a Project: text box that lets me search through LP projects. See bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/dennis/+bug/261457

How do I link that bug to upstream bug http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=549439 ?

Hi Michael,

you need to re-target to the correct project: "Cheese". Once that bug task is targeted correctly you'll have the option to enter the upstream bugtracker URL.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Cheers,

Matsubara
