Want to become a maintainer of medit project

I am the author of medit (http://mooedit.sf.net/), which is registered in launchpad. I would like to actually use launchpad for medit, so I want to become the launchpad medit project maintainer. Not sure I want to
become a "maintainer", perhaps just some sort of admin user?
