nest-part file in git-build recipes ?

Asked by Khurshid Alam

As per my understanding now that bug LP: #1644640 has been resolved it should be possible to nest-part file (or a patch) from a different repo in debian/patches directory. But for testing I tried this:

# git-build-recipe format 0.4 deb-version {debupstream}+{time}
lp:~khurshid-alam/kupfer/+git/trunk master
nest-part plugins1 lp:~khurshid-alam/kupfer/+git/recursive-directories-skpdvdd recdirs.py kupfer/plugin master
nest-part packaging lp:~khurshid-alam/kupfer/+git/debian-packaging debian debian master

....which obviously didn't work. Why is it not working even after the provided bug marked as resolved?

This question appears to be complete, the fix has been on production for
a few years now, with no further reports.
