merge account with no access to old email

Asked by Mark Cornick

For whatever reason unbeknownst to me, an account ~mcornick was created in 2005 with the address <email address hidden>, an email address I have not used since 2006, and to which I no longer have access. I have never logged in to Launchpad with this account, and thus have no idea what the password is. Furthermore, since I no longer have access to that email address, I cannot have a new password sent to me.

Today I created an account ~mcornick-mcornick. I would like to merge these accounts so that I can use ~mcornick exclusively. How do I go about this?

Have renamed the original to ~mcornick-old, and changed yours to ~mcornick.

Cheers!
