Why is my reply text EXCLUDED

I'm new to launchpad, and attempted to reply to a post, but the content of my reply says "<<< text/html: EXCLUDED >>>"

A Google search reveals this occurs for others, yet there appears no easy explanation for why this occurs.

Anyone?

I guessed the solution, after some reflection -- replying with the whole thread content will cause that error.

When replying (via email client) to a post, delete all thread content, and post only the new reply content.
