Ownership of libtorrent-rasterbar project
Hi, I would like to take over ownership of the libtorrent-
I am the main developer of Deluge which uses libtorrent so I provide feedback and code to the project as well as building releases for our users. It would be useful to be able to provide daily and release PPAs for Ubuntu users in an official place and would also benefit other clients that use libtorrent.
Thanks

This question was expired because it remained in the 'Open' state without activity for the last 15 days.

Can someone help with this?

Maybe #launchpad on Freenode can help

There's no record here of whether you've tried to contact the current maintainer, and what they said. That should always be the starting point.
It looks to me as though the current maintainer of the Launchpad project is in fact somebody who was working on packaging it for Ubuntu. Our usual practice would be that in that kind of situation we'd be happy to pass it on to the actual upstream of libtorrent-
But if it's just about PPAs: PPAs have no relationships to projects, official or otherwise, so being given the project wouldn't make any difference to that anyway.

Ah I see I can conflated launchpad Team and Project... That might explain some previous confusion!
The maintainer for libtorrent-
Totally understand your reluctance :) Should have mentioned that I work closely with Arvid (so he is most definitely active) and I provide code for libtorrent as well as updates for the debian packaging scripts. However I know arvid will have no intention of maintaining a launchpad page that is why I asked for the role.
I see now that creating a 'libtorrent' team is the way to go for importing the code for PPA builds. I can then add other devs that also use libtorrent to help maintain a central resource.
I might revisit the idea of the project page in future but it's not relevant just now, thanks! :)
