Unable to import branch because of limitations in Bazaar

My Import from GIT was working fine then it stopped with this error:

2016-09-28 12:35:01 INFO Unable to import branch because of limitations in Bazaar.
2016-09-28 12:35:01 INFO The repository you are fetching from contains submodules, which are not yet supported.

It was importing fine from git://anongit.kde.org/kstars.git up until September 20th. I checked the repo and we do not have any submodules, so why is it failing?

I'm afraid you do have submodules in the history: 7cd2ae86cc875247528cf4e1235147f0864e101e adds a submodule at kstars/kstarslite/kirigami.

Probably not much to be done here until we support native git-to-git imports.
