Advanced translation search is needed!

Asked by Shiqi Yu

I'm translating Scilab project, and found some words are mistranslated.
I want to search all the items contain the specific words and correct them.
But I don't know how to search.

If you know which template to search in, just use the Search box at the top of the translation page. For example:

https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/scilab/trunk/+pots/statistics/zh_CN/+translate

This page has an input field "Search:" at the top right where you can enter your search string. The minimum length of the search string is two characters.

This is not so easy for Scilab because it has so many templates. If you want to search for something but you don't know exactly where it is, most pages on Launchpad have another Search box at the bottom. This search box searches *all* of Launchpad. So you can use this from just about anywhere in Launchpad, even if it's not related to translations. For example:

https://code.launchpad.net/

If you type a piece of translation text there and press <enter>, you will find a list of translations that match it. Those search results will link to the right translation, but it won't always scroll to the exact place in the translation. But once you're in the right translation, you can use the Search box at the top to look for strings in there.
