E-mail address shown on google through Launchpad

Asked by Nicolas Vandeput

Hi,

I begin receiving more and more spam these last weeks. I have my own domain name since more than a year now, and never had that problem. I thought my address was hidden for the other users (or at least people who are not logged in) on Launchpad. However, when I type it in Google, it shows the bug archives from ubuntu.com with my e-mail address in it! How can I fix that?

Here is the link: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/kernel-bugs/2008-July/037962.html

There is such an entry for each of my messages on that bug in Google. Try this search on Google, you'll see on your own: http://www.google.be/search?hl=fr&q=mail+nvdp.be&btnG=Recherche+Google&meta=

Greetz,
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

sorry for taking this long to reply.
The problem is that ubuntu mailing list archive is publicly accessible hence subject to google crawlers.

Launchpad can't do much regarding that.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Can you help with this problem?
