hm... maybe my system is a little bit older than I though (damn, how time goes by). Nonetheless, why is there no edgy entry?

To rephrase the question: "how can I determine if a package has been removed from the archive"

ok, LP is doing the right thing. the package was removed from edgy (afaict) and hence there's no release entry in edgy.
Sorry for the noise.
P.S.: I'll cheer a little bit (I won't tell you why, just look at the wiki page and the history who added/changed what *g*).
