Can't access to my principal account

Hi,

I can't access to my principal account (bertrand.cachet associated to the email "bertrand dot cachet at gmail dot com"), it tells me "This Account Cannot be Used". When I click on my username (bertrand.cachet) (it appears on every piece of doc or code I have written for my project) I get the following message: "bertrand.cachet does not use Launchpad. ".

I have seen on the web that it happens for some users but haven't found a way to solve this issue.
Please give me some hint/instructions to solve this problem.

There was a problem in the last release that caused many accounts to be in an incomplete state. If the account is not already fixed, use the forgot password link from the login page. You can used the same password; the reset will fix the bad status.

I had the same error, and password reset did not help - to be able to file a bug report I went to register a new account, and on a whim I tried to register with the same email-address that was not working.

This actually solved the problem and seems to have re-enabled the account. I can tell it was not a new registration because Launchpad remembered some details from when I registered the first time a couple of years ago.

Can you help with this problem?
