vcs-imports/clam/trunk import failed

Asked by Pau Arumi

This is the import page
https://code.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/clam/trunk

And the failure log
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/15920315/clam-trunk-log.txt

It seems caused by a temporary failure of the subversion server "iua-share.upf.edu":

pysvn._pysvn_2_4.ClientError: PROPFIND request failed on '/svn/clam/!svn/vcc/default'
PROPFIND of '/svn/clam/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read status line: Connection reset by peer (http://iua-share.upf.edu) Import failed:

So I guess it needs to be manually reactivated, right?
Thanks!

Pau

Well it seems clear that the import does not succeed after many retries. See the logs:
https://code.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/clam/trunk

Many GB have been downloaded but after every 26-28 hours the process fails and it gets restarted.

Now the sysadmin of our subversion server urges me to stop the imports because is persistently taking too much bandwidth.

So my question is, could you please stop the imports?
Could we try a different approach to import our repo? maybe if I put a repository tarball available to download. Or make the svn import incremental, so that it does not restart from zero again and again...

Thanks
Pau

Okay, I've stopped it. I'm unhappy that it fails consistently, though -- I guess this is really caused by the CSCVS bug 120992.

Thanks Christian.
I'm closing this question. And will ask for a new way of importing the repository in a new question (as suggested in #launchpad)
