Is there any auto-delete/deactive feature in Launchpad?

Asked by Jeppe Fihl-Pearson

I have come across some projects on Launchpad which seems abandoned, but people are still able to post questions, bugs and translations to them. Are there any feature which will block these after a certain time?

A great example of this is Wordpress' project here at Launchpad: https://launchpad.net/wordpress
It hasn't been updated to reflect the newest released version, and none of the enabled features for the project seems to be used. Still people are able to submit bugs, translations etc. to it, which aren't going to be checked.

I made a post about this on Wordpress' forum, but no-one reacted to it: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/172860

Maybe somekind of occasional e-mail (monthly?) to the administrators of the projects would be in place, in order to get the abandoned projects disabled.

There is not an autodelete feature for projects. Many projects are abandoned, some appear to be experiments (which should have been carried out on the launchpad staging server). Wordpress is a special case. Many users have incorrectly setup projects to translate it, and they are quickly abandoned. As I think about Wordpress deserves it's own FAQ entry.
